Preparations for this year’s game started back in 2016, when the NFL chose Miami to host Super Bowl LIV. In addition to the game, Miami is putting on a weeklong fan fest called Super Bowl Live. Only about 65,000 fans will get to sit in the stadium for the game. But the fan event allows everyone who can’t get tickets to experience all things Super Bowl.
“Even if you aren’t a sports fan, you will find something that will entice you to join in on the fun,” says Prieto. The free festival will include cooking demonstrations, art installations, great music, and fireworks displays.
Things have changed since the big game was last held in Miami a decade ago. Today, the city has even more public transportation options for football fans to get to the game—and maybe do some sightseeing while they’re in town!
