Happy Pi Day!
Circumference
March 14 (3/14) is Pi Day, the day we celebrate π (3.14)! Pi represents the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter, and it is one of math’s best-known constants!
Find the circumferences of pies for sale. Use 3.14 for pi. Record your work and answers on our answer sheet.

Pecan pie
The pecan pie is cut into 8 equal slices. What's the length of the crust of each slice?
Circumference (C) is the distance around a circle's perimeter. The formula to find circumference is:
C = π × d
Diameter (d) is a line that passes from one side of a circle to the other through the center.
Find the circumference of a circle with a diameter of 12 in.
C = 3.14 × 12 inches
C = 37.68 inches
